Match Report: Senior Boys Team

Hi, my name is Callum and here is my latest match report....

We were very excited when we heard we were in the quarter finals. We all really wanted to play in Croke Park and make our school proud. But to get there, first we had to win our quarter final against St. Mary's National School from Garristown in Swords. As we have never played them before, we didn't know how tough they would be. We got ready in the hall and we put on our jerseys and went out to warm up. The réiteoir arrived and called for the captains a few minutes later. Mr. O'Connor told me that I was captain, which I was very happy about.

The game got underway and there were some excellent scores from both teams. Unfortunately for us, they were very tough and we couldn't break them down. When the final whistle blew, we couldn't believe we had lost. We were very disappointed but Mr. Daly, Mr. Hegarty and Mr. O'Connor said we did our school proud. My highlight of the season was being chosen to be captain in my last year of playing Gaelic for the school.
