The Green Committee
We actively take part in the Irish Green-Schools Programme to promote and acknowledge long-term, whole school action for the environment. Green-Schools is a student-led programme and is operated and coordinated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce, the National Trust for Ireland. This programme teaches our pupils and the greater community to be more environmentally aware.
To date our pupils have been awarded four Green Flags: a flag for Litter and Waste; a flag for Energy; a flag for Water and lastly a flag for Travel.
We hope to achieve our next Green Flag for Biodiversity in the near future.
