Annual Sponsored Spell

Thank you to everyone who supported us in our most recent fund raising venture, the Spellathon which was held during the month of October . We raised much needed funds to purchase science and sports equipment for the children. We admire the persistence of the children and appreciate their hard work. We hope the children will enjoy themselves during our Spellathon Day which is on Tuesday 22nd October. A raffle with over 50 exciting prizes will be held for the children who returned their sponsorship cards. An amazing grand total of €6,462.33 has been raised to date. A huge thank you to everyone who was part of the fundraiser.

School Records

To keep School records up to date, it is essential that you let us know if your child has a change of address or contact telephone number. If your child suffers from any medical condition e.g.asthma,please inform your child’s teacher. It is essential that A Health Care Plan is completed by the parent/ guardian.

School Lunches

Lunch is available to every child in the school and is in line with our Healthy Eating Policy. We encourage all children to avail of these lunches.

Confirmation for Sixth Class Children

The boys and girls in sixth class will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in St. Mark’s Church on Friday 15th May 2020. The ceremony will begin at 11 am we ask all family members to be in their seats in the church by 10.45 am.

School Attendance - Every Day Counts

Attendance is an area of high priority for the school. We

endeavour to support and foster good attendance patterns and we ask parents to help promote attendance/punctuality by:

  • Ensuring regular and punctual school attendance of their children.
  • Notifying the school if, for any reason, their children cannot attend.
  • Discussing planned absences with the school.
  • Refraining from taking holidays during term time.
  • Informing the school in writing of the reasons for absence from school.

Your sincerely,

Richie Walsh

It is with deep regret that we must, once again, postpone our celebrations of First Holy Communion and Confirmation across our parishes/areas (Springfield/Jobstown/Brookfield/Fettercairn).
The Board of Management and the School Staff of St. Mark’s S.N.S would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your co-operation and support during the past week as we safely opened our school for your children.
The following is a letter from Fr. Pat McKinley regarding this years First Holy Communion. There is also a link to the First Holy Communion Dates for the various parishes.
