Dear Parent,
I hope this letter finds you all in good health. I would like to congratulate all of the children for continuing their school work at home over the past three weeks. I know that this is a very difficult time for everyone, I am delighted that the boys and girls are all trying their best. I am in daily contact with the teaching staff and we are all working together to develop and plan new ways to support your child’s learning.
We are delighted to report this morning that 500 children are signed up for Google Classroom. From Monday 20th April, all teaching and learning in St. Mark’s S.N.S. will be extended to the use of Google Classroom. This is an online teaching and learning portal for teachers, pupils and parents. It allows the children to engage in remote digital learning with their teachers.
We in St. Mark’s S.N.S., will be providing your child with an individual email account and password for use with their Google Classroom. This account is to be used for teaching and learning only.
You as parent or guardian will need to sign in to your child’s account. The class teacher will send you a text message with your child’s email address and password. We would ask you to change this password immediately.
The following are the 7 Steps involved in joining your Google Classroom for the first time:
- Go to classroom.google.com
- ClickGo to Classroom
- Enter pupils email address Click next.
- Enter pupils password, Click next.
- Click on Join
- Click on the letter on the top right and Sign out of the Classroom.
If you haven’t signed up already, please click HERE to fill in this form in relation to Google Classroom, online learning for your child.
Please Remember: A form must be completed for each child attending St. Mark's S.N.S.
We will continue to post weekly work on the school website: www.saintmarks.ie in the Working From Home section.
With every good wish.
Kind Regards,
