Election of Two Parents to the Board of Management

AGM of PTA.

Monday 4th November 2019

Dear Parents or Guardians,

Boards of Management of primary schools are appointed for a four year term. The term of office for new Boards of Management is from 1st December 2019 to 30th November 2023.

Two parents must now be elected from parents of children who are enrolled and have commenced attendance at the school – one being a mother, the other a father. They are elected by the general body of parents of children who are enrolled and have commenced attendance in St. Mark’s SNS.

The election of the parents’ representatives on the Board of Management (BOM) of St. Mark’s SNS will be held in the St. Mark’s SNS hall at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday 13th November 2019 – prior to the Parents’ Association AGM.

At the meeting nominations will be invited for both a mothers’ panel and a fathers’ panel. Parents may self-nominate and each nominee must be seconded by a person in attendance at the meeting. If more than one nomination is received for either panel, nominees will be invited to say a few words and a secret ballot shall then be held.

Note: A parent nominee on a BOM can be a member of the Parents’ Association but they should not hold a position of office on the Parents’ Association committee.

Your sincerely,

Richard Walsh

Principal / Secretary Board of Management.

We would like to mark the end of our students’ primary school education with a practical keepsake of their time in Saint Mark’s Senior National School. The suggestion of a 'Class of 2020' hoodie was put forward.
